For the past approximately 25 years Niels Peter Flint (NPF), born 1959 in Denmark, has been working in the field of designing, implementing and promoting sustainable ways of living. Graduated from the School of Architecture in Arhus, Denmark, he started to work internationally at an early age.
After studying stage design under Josef Svoboda in Prague, he was employed in 1984 by Sottsass Associatti (The Memphis Group) in Milan.
In 1988 he founded the non-profit organization O2 which deals with environmental and cultural issues (now called O2 Global Network).
NPF has received various prices etc. among others:
-a major grant from Stichting IKEA foundation for the work developed with O2. The money was used among other things for developing the O2 handbook in Danish – will be available on this site in a PDF version at a later point.
NPF has organized numerous conferences, workshops etc. worldwide among others the conference “Mind over matter” about the development of immaterial design and design ethics in general in Copenhagen in 1996.

NPF is currently developing The Micro Macro Monde Center (MMM) – a center for Radically Rethinking Design & the World – in Cormes, France 1,5 hours south west of Paris. http://www.exdl.com/micro-macro-monde
NPF is also the CEO of EXPERIENCE DESIGN LAB – a “SUSTAINABLE VISION AGENCY”, which runs all MMM activities, organizes SUSTAINABLE VISION DO & workshops, develops new sustainable innovative product and service concepts ETC. EXDL is a UK based company and has partners globally.

EXDL (Experience Design Lab) was founded in 2001. The company specializes in developing Sustainable Design Experiences and VISIONS based on innovative ideas and concepts and utilizing sustainably appropriate materials, technologies and services.

Operating from UK and India EXDL opened a showroom in December 2006 in Goa (now only on-line). The showroom has now moved to France and The Micro Macro Monde Center.
“In India EXDL is developing interior & architectural concepts and environmentally sound product experiences and VISIONS which provide a fusion of modern lifestyle and so-called green thinking. No matter what we human beings do, we harm the planet in one way or another simply because we exist, eat and breathe”, says NPF.
The main goal of EXDL is not making big profits but enabling everybody to be a bit friendlier to the environment. NPF: “It is all part of trying to redefine what design could or should be. EXDL products, services and visions are full of often very radical ideas and possibilities; they offer various functions, stories and maybe even hidden wisdom.” Inspiring people to use their inborn sense of creativity and thus finding enjoyable solutions for today’s challenges is one of the objectives of EXDL - and now also for Micro Macro Monde.
The major task of NPF & EXDL right now is developing the Micro Macro Monde Center in France to be opened for courses and other activities next spring 2009. You can follow the development here on the site of MMM.

NPF & EXDL is currently also working together with the Indian designer and interior architect Aparna Karve on developing new sustainable luxury housing in India.
NPF is director in various companies and organizations among others the new innovative UK based socks company called Socks For Happy People.
