…or a collection of thoughts about the future of design and the future of the world
If we want to survive as human beings we have to radically change our ways of dealing with the world.
The challenges of today’s world are taken on by the Danish architect and designer Niels Peter Flint in this book project. He leads the reader on a roller coaster ride through modern life which confronts him or her with most of the problematic issues on this planet: Starting with the implications of overpopulation, the challenges in connection with pollution and pending environmental disasters and the threat of new technologies looming at the horizon. This material especially addresses the role of designers and architects and their responsibility in this exiting time where we all face the very real possibility of extinction – as humans. On the other hand we also have all the tools, finances and knowledge to create a somehow perfect world – and Flint therefore asks why the latter does not happen. With plenty of examples and links to websites which provide further information Niels Peter Flint describes his view of the world and his visions: How we could all together develop innovative concepts to live in harmony with and on planet Earth.
